Recently we teamed up with a school in Worcester, King’s Hawford to be exact, for their Summer Ball. The event runs every year in June (and has been for as many years as can be remembered). It’s organised by the Parent’s Association for the school and is a fundraiser. Previous events have paid for musical equipment, sports and play equipment, new seating in the sports hall and most recently a teepee in the school fields. The ambitious goal for this year was to raise £10k to pay for a new library. The intention was to procure and fit out an old red London bus as an engaging space for the children to enjoy for many years to come.
The school worked really hard and were able to raise an amazing £10.5k.
As part of the event, we supplied a prize for the raffle to help fundraise for the event. The winner of the raffle was Emma and as you can see from the image above she was overjoyed with her beautiful diamond ring. The principal said the following “I was thrilled with the outcome. PD’s offer to provide a 1ct Diamond and setting for the winner was a real showpiece of the evening and had caused much excitement in the four weeks leading up to the ball as we launched the raffle at the end of May in order that we could get maximum exposure. It was a real joy liaising with Matthew and Sylvia throughout, the generosity shown for the event by PD is vital in raising any funds along with the kindness shown by many other organisations offering their support. I received a pic of the diamond in it’s new home this morning from an extremely delighted and still a little shell-shocked Emma.”
